The African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church (AME Zion Church) is a historic Christian denomination founded in 1796, rooted in the Wesleyan tradition and committed to the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Known as “The Freedom Church,” the AME Zion Church has a rich legacy of faith, resilience, and advocacy for justice, holiness, and human dignity.
From its beginnings, the Church has stood as a spiritual home for worship, discipleship, education, and social transformation, faithfully serving communities across generations and continents.
